We took out of White Sulphur Spring and the Red Ants Pants Festival by about 9 am. Tom cooked some coffee but that was it before we hit the road. White SS was still sleepy and I thought about asking Tom to stop for French toast, but we had place to go things to see. Headed for Cody WY, and the buffalo bill museum ( I can now spell buffalo but still haven't seen any). Saw a lot of different county - flat valleys with stark eroded hills on either side. And the mountains rising up behind the hills. The valleys are incredibly green and there is a lot of agriculture here. Looks like soybeans, wheat, hay - lots of hay - with at least one cutting done, maybe two - think we ran into potatoes the last half of the day. stopped at a rest stop campground outside of Columbus for lunch on the Yellowstone river. We were so filthy and my sandals were so caked with dust turned to dried mud that I put my feet in and washed off about 1/2 pound of WSS cow pasture or festival grounds. After lunch we got to Cody about 4:30 and checked into the campground. First thing was a cold dink and then a SHOWER. Gosh it felt good to be clean again. We finally cooked the brats and beans and had a quiet night in the campground. Although it was relatively quiet, it WAS louder then the campgrounds at the festival. Took me about 3 minutes to fall asleep. Just as I was dozing off some horns, and air horns started to go off - State succor champs? Rodeo? - that interrupted me getting to sleep for oh 5 sec.
